At Wild Encounters – A Capybara Café, the capys call the shots! Our animals are free to choose when they want to hang out, snack, nap, or stroll over for some attention. That’s what we call an “at-will” encounter—the animals decide if they’re in the mood, and we respect their choice every time.

Don’t worry, our friendly café educators are always nearby to help you meet the capys, answer questions, and even snap that perfect photo when the moment’s right. But you’ll never see us pushing an animal to do something it doesn’t want to do—because just like us, capys deserve the right to choose how they spend their day.

The result? Every interaction is real, natural, and capybara-approved—which makes the memories even more special.

First, imagine stepping into a Japanese-style capybara café right here in sunny Panama City Beach! 🇯🇵🌴 You’ll start by Booking your preferred seating through our online portal.  Then, check in, order your drinks and desserts, and maybe snag some super-cute capy merch (all digital, no paper—very zen, very modern 💻✨).

🧋 Café Seating (30 min):
Up to 20 guests share this cozy cafe space while our capybara family wanders freely, mingling, munching, and melting hearts! 💕 It’s chill, social, and full of belly scratches!

🛋️ Lounge Seating (1 hour):
A more vibey, exclusive experience for up to 6 guests. You’ll enjoy a relaxed hour in our lounge, free gelato… because we love gelato… PLUS a private sloth mini-meet and plenty of capy time for ultimate cuddle-and-chill energy 🫶✨

Whether you’re here to sip boba, snap selfies, or achieve inner capy-bliss, it’s all about slow living, soft smiles, and serious cuteness overload. 🌸🐾

Great question—and an important one! 💖 For the safety and comfort of all our guests (and our adorable animal ambassadors 🐹✨), any minor under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult during their visit.

Think of it as a shared experience—more smiles, more memories, and double the fun! 🫶 Whether you’re sipping boba, relaxing in the lounge, or enjoying some capy cuddles, we want everyone to feel safe, happy, and totally at ease. 🌸

While we’re powered by partnership, ZooWorld and Wild Encounters – A Capybara Café operate separately, and so does their admission. That means ZooWorld memberships don’t include discounts for the café.

But here’s the cool part! ✨

Unlike many other zoos, both ZooWorld and Wild Encounters support their missions entirely through ticket and product sales—no tax dollars, no government funding, just pure capy-love and community support! 🐹💪
