At Wild Enounters, like our friends at ZooWorld, we think BIG… like ecosystem BIG! That is exactly how we choose our conservation partners! Not the biggest players, but the biggest impact. By finding conservation projects that support the environment we are saving MORE species.
wHO ARE OUR CONSERVATION PARTNERS?
rAINFORST aWARENESS rESCUE eDUCATION cENTER
RAREC works closely with the Peruvian Environmental Police to rehabilitate and release wildlife back into their natural habitat. Since its founding in 2011, they have rescued a diverse range of species, including manatees, ocelots, tapirs, anteaters, sloths, a giant river otter and primates such as spider and woolly monkeys. Beyond rescue efforts, RAREC also serves as a research facility dedicated to the study and protection of Amazonian wildlife and runs programs aimed at educating and empowering the people of the Amazon, offering sustainable alternatives to poaching and incentives to participate in conservation efforts.
Wild Encounters Cafe is proud to provide the support RAREC needed, partially funding (check out our friends at ZooWorld Zoological who funded the rest) the purchase of a much needed vehicle to provide transportation for their educational programs, emergency response for injured Amazonian wildlife and transportation to release sites for rehabilitated animals!
